One day I received a phone call from a friend of mine who managed a local Gym. He invited me to start teaching Salsa as part of their dance timetable.
Very reluctantly I agreed.
And it was when I made the transition from student to teacher that I realised I wasn't the only one who struggled to learn the basic salsa steps, hear the beat or remember moves.
I realised I wasn't the only one who lacked confidence and wanted to hide away during freestyle.
All of my students felt exactly the same.
But this time I knew the answer to their problems because I had already travelled their journey.
I knew I had to give them a way of being able to practice the moves I was teaching them in between classes.
So I hired a film studio and a film crew and we spent a few days recording all of the Salsa steps and moves we taught during the beginners Salsa syllabus.
We made the complete syllabus available online so that our students could study at home in between classes.
This program had such a massive impact on our students progress that we decided to make it available to everyone.
And that is when Cyber Salsa was born.
